The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released guidelines for universities on how they should conduct the exams.

The higher education regulator has asked universities to forego offline or pen and paper mode exams for this month.

The decision to not conduct offline exams has been taken to avoid gathering of students at the campuses.

This has also been done to provide much needed relief to the students, faculty and staff who are at present occupied in fighting covid-19 in one way or the other.

UGC’s decision will provide a big relief to outstation students for whom travelling to urban areas is quite risky during this time when covid crisis is at the peak.

The UGC has emphasized on online exams. It has told the universities to assess the local conditions. The universities have been asked to ensure that they are prepared in all respects following advisories or guidelines issued by the central and state government.
